Hickory
Description
Hickory is one of the strongest and hardest woods used in North America. Often, the handles of tools and baseball bats will be made from hickory wood. Hickory flooring has a fine straight grain with a slightly course texture. The color of hickory can run from a creamy white to dark brown. With unselected wood you will get the dramatic effect of hickories brown heartwood against its white sapwood. This is a truly beautiful wood that works well in modern architecture and also in classical designs.
